Does it annoy me when “which” supplants “that”?

Definitely.

 

Does it baffle me why reflexive pronouns are so abused?

Absolutely, but I can't fix the problem by myself.

 

Do I fight the overuse of adverbs while acknowledging their potential to offer brevity when it is most needed?

Yes.
